Available Acceptance-Test Data

The supplied factory acceptance records provide additional technical evidence for this specific machine. Recorded values include X1 small-travel positioning deviation of approximately 0.0006 mm, control-wheel spindle taper runout readings around 0.001 mm, grinding-spindle taper runout readings around 0.001–0.002 mm, and grinding-spindle axial play around 0.003 mm.

Applications & Suitable Production Scenarios

Used MIKROSA KRONOS M 400 centerless grinder is designed for manufacturers that need consistent cylindrical grinding accuracy together with high production capacity. The platform supports both throughfeed and infeed grinding, making it suitable for continuous mass production as well as components requiring controlled plunge grinding.

Typical applications include bearing rollers and cylindrical bearing parts, automotive transmission components, precision shafts and pins, hydraulic and pneumatic valve spools, motor and rotor shafts, fuel-system components, hardened-steel components, tool blanks and carbide rods, precision mechanical parts, and other rotationally symmetrical components requiring tight diameter and roundness control.

For automotive, bearing, hydraulic, motor, transmission and precision-component manufacturers, a used German CNC centerless grinder such as the KRONOS M 400 can also provide a lower capital-investment alternative to purchasing a comparable new production grinding system.

FAQ

What diameter parts can this KRONOS M 400 grind?

The supplied configuration indicates a grinding diameter range of approximately 3–100 mm. The original KRONOS M 400 platform specification covers workpiece diameters from 1.5 to 100 mm, so the actual minimum diameter depends on the installed tooling, work-rest blade, grinding setup and production application.

Can this machine perform both throughfeed and plunge grinding?

Yes. The KRONOS M 400 platform was designed for both throughfeed centerless grinding and infeed/plunge grinding. Maximum OEM-specified workpiece length for infeed grinding is 395 mm.

Is the MIKROSA KRONOS M 400 suitable for mass production?

Yes. It is a production-oriented CNC centerless grinder intended for precision and high-throughput cylindrical grinding. Its rigid GRANITAN® machine base, CNC-controlled movements and wide grinding wheel are particularly useful for repetitive industrial production.
